Every year, May 9 is widely celebrated in our country as the Day of Remembrance and Respect. On this day, it has become a good tradition to commemorate war veterans for their great contribution to the victory over fascism and to report on the plight of veterans who are now on the verge of old age.

On May 6, 2021 a group of deans of the Faculty of Socio-Economics, Physical Culture and representatives of the primary organization of the Youth Union, headed by the rector of Gulistan State University Professor M.Khodjiev Yamankulov Otakul, who was born, visited his father.

During the meeting, Otakul Ata recalled the life of the war years and reiterated the need to appreciate today's peace. During the conversation, Professor M.Khodjiev presented valuable souvenirs to Otakul ota.
