History of the department.
The chair was founded in 1972. Nowadays the department "Physics" is one of the three chairs of the faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Gulistan State University. There are 19 teachers in the department. From them 2 professors, 9 associate professors, 2 senior teachers and 6 teachers work at the department. There are 12 professors in total, 1 in 0,5 states, and 6 professors in 0,25 states. The average age of teachers of the department is 54. The scientific potential is 58%.
There are bachelor and master's degrees in the department. Department of Physics prepares bachelors in 5140200 - Physics. 5A140202 - Prepares magistrines in the direction of Physics. In 2017 the Russian group was formed at the Department of Physics.
Subjects taught in the department: (Physics, Theoretical Mechanics, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Physics, Radioelectronics, Physics Teaching Technique, Thermodynamics and Statistical Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Electrical Engineering and School Cabinets, and the transition from physics to laboratory studies in the CRC, solving physics, school physics. experiment, theoretical mechanics, solid state physics, semiconductor physics, geliophysics, atmospheric physics. There is currently a sufficient supply of literature for these subjects. These publications include textbooks, study guides, teaching materials, lecture texts, TMI development, electronic versions of textbooks, virtual and animated developments, and other teaching materials, methodological resources. Teaching subjects of the department is based on new pedagogical technologies and ICT.
Research work of the department: Members of the department are researching the following problems: "Solar energy in the national economy", "Study of electrophysical and photoelectric properties of photovoltaic films made of new types of semiconductor alloys".
The program of the republican scientific-practical conference on the theme of "Problems of improvement of physics education in noble education" was held on April 29, 2017.
Scientific-methodical work and collaboration in the department: Members of the department are currently working on modern teaching technologies and the use of ICT in the teaching process in accordance with the Law "On Education" Scientific and methodological work is being carried out. It is studying curricula, creating new teaching materials, and introducing new teaching methods into the learning process.
