Umurzak Yuljabayev was born in 1942 in Nurata District of Samarkand region. After graduating from high school in 1959 and working for a year, he studied at the Faculty of Philology of Tashkent State University (now Uzmu) as a student in 1960-65, and as a graduate student in 1965-68. Since December 1, 1968, Gulistan State University (former Syrdarya Pedagogical Institute)has been working on “Uzbek literature” (now “Uzbek literary studies”). In 1970-ies defended the candidate dissertation on the theme “the last period reflected the period of the Great Patriotic War in the Uzbek novel”.
He began his labor activity in 1965 at the 5-th School of Gulistan District of Sirdarya region, where he taught the Uzbek language and literature. Thanks to his unique dedication to the character of Domla, throughout his labor activity, he has earned great respect both in the team of professors and among students.
The second direction in the activity of umurzak Yuljabayev is connected with his work in the field of literary criticism, literary studies. The first step in this area was started in March 1966 with the article “the first step” published in the newspaper “the truth of Sirdarya”. Since then, more than 200 articles have been published in various newspapers, magazines and scientific collections. During his entire scientific and creative activity, he tried to focus more on one topic, namely on the issue of how life during the Second World War and the fate of people at that time were expressed in the artistic literature. In this direction, a certain part of their research will be completed and will cover “the image of courage and courage” (1976), “the sound of lines” (1985), “some issues of character creation in the Uzbek military prose” (1989), “traces drawn in memory” (1992), “Uzbek storytelling in the period of War” (2006), “truthfulness of artistic image” (2008), “Life moved to memory” (2010, 2016), “prosperous house with a friend” (2012), “(2012),” Abdulla kahhor lessons “(2013),” breath of the period in storytelling “(2016),” literature – research such as” the mirror of Dreams " (2017) attracted the attention of the scientific community.
Domla's book "Time talabi and creative responsibility" is of particular importance in her creative activity, since in this book she concentrated a certain part of her 45-year studies in the field of literary studies. The articles from it indicate that the tematics of the research carried out during the life of the scientist not only consist of one direction, but also are much more vivid, rich and colorful, they also successfully tossed a pencil on other subjects.

For his research and published works in the field of literary studies, the scientist was elected a real member of the Academy of Sciences of Turon in 2012.
