A literary evening devoted to the 582nd anniversary of Alisher Navoi's birth was held in the Palace of Culture of Gulistan State University on the theme "It is not easy to stand in this field". The event was opened by the rector of the university, Mukhsin Khodjiev, with an introductory speech. Head of the Department of Uzbek Literature M. Mamatkulov gave a lecture on the work of Alisher Navoi.
In the artistic part of the event, a concert program prepared by students of the Philology and Art Studies faculties was shown and ghazals were read. Soldiers of the National Guard from Gulistan took part in the event and recited Alisher Navoi's ghazals. Scenes staged based on the works of Alisher Navoi were shown.
