4-goal. Quality educatition.
The forth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals is called “Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” (hereafter SDG 4). SDG 4 covers topics such as improving the quality of education, increasing students' interest in education and developing a mature workforce.
SDG 4 includes the following goals and objectives:
4.1. By 2030, raise primary and secondary education to a qualitatively new level, leading to relevant and effective learning outcomes while maintaining universal coverage.
4.2. By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education.
4.3. By 2030, ensure equal access for all women and men to affordable and quality secondary special, tertiary, vocational and additional education.
4.4. By 2030, substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship.
4.5. By 2030, ensure equal access to all levels of education and vocational training for persons with disabilities by upgrading educational facilities to make them safe for children with disabilities, and providing safe and effective learning environments for all.
4.7. By 2030, ensure that all learners and students acquire the knowledge and skills needed to promote sustainable development.
4.a. Upgrade education facilities to provide safe and effective learning environments for all.
4.b. By 2020, significantly increase the coverage of tertiary education, the number of loans and grants (including international loans and grants) for enrolment in higher education programmes.
4.c. By 2030, substantially increase the supply of qualified teachers (lecturers), including through international cooperation on training, re-training and inservice training of teachers and lecturers.
