On may 21 of this year in the Assembly Hall of the main building of the Gulistan State University was held a solemn event on the basis of the decision of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan ¹ PP-4354 on June 7, 2019 in the “dam for further improvement of information and library services to the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan”. The event was attended by Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and innovations Amaliddin Suleymov, chairman of the trade union Yusufaliyev Abdurakhman, head of the Department for spiritual and educational work with young people Abdurasulov Shermuhammad, 22 employees of the IRC and others.

Opening the event, director of the IRC Obidjon Oqyigitov congratulated all employees on the professional holiday and gave the speech to the vice-rector for Scientific Affairs and innovations of the University Amaliddin Suleymov for the first greeting.

A.Suleymov congratulated all librarians on may 21 - the day of librarians on behalf of the rector of the University, spoke about the role of Information and resource centers of the universities in today's development, its importance, attention shown by the state administration to the field of librarianship, the hard and honorable activity of librarians and their contribution to the field of Education. In particular, he highly appreciated the contribution of our IRC employees in this direction, their role and efforts in the remote Organization of education and said his warm congratulations to all employees.

Speaking at the University, the chairman of the trade union A.Yusufaliev, head of the Department on spiritual enlightenment and youth work Sh.Abdurasulov and others also congratulated the librarians on their professional holiday and wished them great victories.

During the event, a number of librarians, who have been working in the arm effectively for many years and have achieved high marks, were awarded with honorary titles of the rector of the University and valuable gifts of the trade union.
