The new 2022/2023 academic year started on September 5, 2022. According to tradition, "Independence lessons" are being conducted in the relevant faculties of Gulistan State University this academic year as well. This year, the rector of the university, professor M. Khodzhiyev, gave the "Lesson of Independence" to the students who were admitted to the 1st stage of the university's undergraduate education.

During this lesson, detailed information was given about the development stages of the higher education system in the years of independence, and the involvement of international education systems and platforms in the higher education system in the conditions of New Uzbekistan.
Also, university professor R. Mahmudov, head of the anti-corruption compliance control department B. Hamzayev, and press secretary B. Samadov gave lectures at the "Lesson of Independence".
