On February 14, 2023, a spiritual and artistic event dedicated to the 540th anniversary of the birth of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur on the theme "King and Poet" was held at the Palace of Culture of Gulistan State University.

F. Niyazov, the 1st vice-rector for youth issues and spiritual-enlightenment affairs of the university, candidate of philological sciences, associate professor H. Yodgorov spoke at the event.

Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur was a writer, poet, scientist who occupied a special place in the culture, literature and poetry of the Middle Ages and was a great statesman and soldier. , Babur founded the Babur dynasty in India with his broad outlook and perfect intelligence, and his name remained in the history of this country as a statesman. His beautiful rubai are the rarest masterpieces of Turkish poetry, and his treatises on "Mubayyin" ("Declared"), "Hatti Baburi", "Garb Ishi", Aruz are Islamic jurisprudence, poetry and language theory. they emphasized that they made a worthy contribution to their fields.

In the artistic part of the event, the university students performed the songs "Bahor Ayyomi", "Karo Zulfing", "Lola", "Sokinomai savti kalon" with Babur's ghazals, samples from Babur's ghazals and a scene from P. Kadirov's "Starry Nights". skillfully demonstrated his looks.
