Today, a festive event dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland was organized at the Palace of Culture of Gulistan State University on the theme "Defense of the Fatherland is a sacred duty!". The event was opened by the rector of the university, M. Khodjiyev, with a congratulatory speech.

On the festive evening, the Chairperson of the Women's Advisory Council of the university, N. Sultanova, on behalf of the university's women's team, congratulated the honorable work of the defenders of the Fatherland, and provided detailed information about the reforms being carried out in the Armed Forces and defense system in our country, as well as the increasing proportion of women in the military today.

The festive evening was attended by soldiers and officers of military units, as well as military veterans in the reserve. A number of active military personnel and young people were awarded at the event. Festive songs promoting patriotism and combat readiness were performed during the artistic part of the holiday.
