Psychological event aimed at protecting women held at Gulistan State University
On June 17, 2025,
psychologist M. Karimova of Gulistan State University, Chairwoman of the
Women’s Advisory Council N. Sultonova, and Head of the Scientific-Practical
Center of Psychology S. Sharapova conducted a psychological training and
roundtable discussion on the topic “Protecting Women from Pressure and
Violence.” The event involved professors from the Faculties of Industrial
Technologies and Information Technologies.
The event emphasized that every woman’s sense of safety and freedom in
the family, workplace, educational institutions, and public spaces is one of
the key factors in ensuring societal stability. It was noted that professors,
in addition to being educators, should act as advocates of social justice,
human rights, and equality, contributing to the reduction of violence in
society.
During the roundtable discussion held at the Faculty of Information
Technologies, various forms of violence and their psychological impacts were discussed.
Participants received advice on preserving the mental well-being of women,
increasing their social activity, and maintaining a zero-tolerance attitude
toward any form of oppression.
Such initiatives help cultivate a mentally strong and healthy generation while strengthening respect and attention toward women within the university and beyond.
