On November 17, the republican final stage of mass sports competitions within the framework of the “Five Initiatives” Olympiad — aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth and enhancing their physical and spiritual potential — commenced at the Central Stadium of Gulistan State University.

The official opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of Sirdarya Region Erkinjon Turdimov, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Qo‘ng‘irotboy Sharipov, the Minister of Sports Adham Ikromov, heads of several relevant organizations, rectors of higher education institutions from the regions, nearly 700 student-athletes selected from across the country, and members of the public.

The competitions will continue until November 20 in sports such as mini football, table tennis, volleyball, athletics, and streetball.
