On December 4, 2025, at an extraordinary session of the Syrdarya Regional Council of People’s Deputies held with the participation of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Gulistan State University was assigned the task of developing cooperation with educational institutions of the People’s Republic of China. In order to implement this instruction, a delegation of Gulistan State University is currently on an official visit to China.

Starting from February 2, 2026, the university delegation led by Rector, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Mukhsin Khodjiyev first held talks with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the People’s Republic of China, Farhod Arziyev. During the meeting, the parties discussed the friendly and strategic partnership relations between Uzbekistan and China, which have been steadily developing in recent years. The visit was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in China, with special emphasis placed on increasing the effectiveness of the visit program and making efficient use of available opportunities.

Subsequently, a series of meetings were held with the leadership of Beifang International educational organization, during which issues related to expanding cooperation in the fields of education, science, and technology were discussed. As a result, a memorandum on the development of bilateral cooperation was signed.
