As previously reported, a delegation of Gulistan State University led by Rector, Professor M. Khodjiyev is currently on an official visit to the People’s Republic of China.

In accordance with the visit program, an official meeting was held between Professor Li Yunmei, Rector of Tianjin Light Industry Vocational Technical College, and Professor M. Khodjiyev, Rector of Gulistan State University.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to further development of international academic and applied scientific cooperation between the two higher education institutions. In particular, detailed negotiations were held on establishing a “Lu Ban Workshop” at Gulistan State University. It was emphasized that this project would contribute to the development of students’ practical skills, the introduction of modern technologies into the educational process, and the strengthening of education–industry integration.

In addition, the meeting resulted in mutual agreements on faculty and student exchange, organization of joint scientific and practical conferences and seminars, implementation of student exchange programs, and development of research and innovation cooperation in the field of light industry.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Rector of Gulistan State University Professor M. Khodjiyev invited Professor Li Yunmei to visit Gulistan State University in April 2026 together with a delegation of leading faculty members.

Within the framework of this visit, plans include modernization of the educational process, development of joint academic programs, and strengthening of long-term strategic cooperation. This visit is regarded as an important step toward expanding Gulistan State University’s international partnerships, improving education quality, and creating new academic opportunities for students.
