In our country, Thursday is designated as “Youth Day,” which plays an important role in conducting open and sincere dialogue with young people, supporting their opinions, proposals, and initiatives, as well as encouraging them in all aspects.

Following tradition, on March 19, Gulistan State University hosted another open dialogue within the framework of the “Leader and Youth Meeting” format. This time, the focus was on student athletes, with special attention given to direct exchange of ideas, as well as listening to their achievements and challenges.

The meeting was attended by the university rector M. Khodjiev, who sincerely congratulated young people achieving high results in various sports and emphasized that their success is important for the university’s reputation. He also showed great interest in the students’ proposals on expanding the number of athletes, providing further support, and improving necessary conditions.

During the open dialogue, the chairman of the university trade union A. Yusufaliyev and the chairwoman of the Women’s Advisory Council N. Sultanova also delivered speeches, sharing their views on working with youth, encouraging them, and widely promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle.
