— Our college signed a cooperation memorandum with Gulistan State University of Uzbekistan

Recently, a presentation on trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan (Syrdarya region) and China (Tianjin) was held in Tianjin. A delegation from our college, led by Party Secretary Li Yunmei, participated in the event, holding meetings with Uzbek officials and representatives of higher education institutions, establishing links with export-oriented enterprises, and strengthening inter-university cooperation.

Prior to the event, the Governor of Syrdarya region, Erkinjon Turdimov, met with Li Yunmei and her delegation. Li Yunmei presented the college’s educational profile, achievements in international cooperation, and the experience of establishing “Luban Workshops,” with special focus on cooperation plans with Gulistan State University. The governor highly appreciated these achievements and expressed strong support for joint projects.

During the event, Li Yunmei and Vice-Rector Dilmurod Eshmurodov signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The parties agreed on cooperation in faculty and student exchanges, joint training programs, and innovation in integrating education, science, and industry. Educational materials on “Chinese language + vocational skills” and bilingual textbooks were also presented.

After the event, Vice-Rector Eshmurodov visited the college and explored training bases in renewable energy, precision manufacturing, and intelligent production, as well as the Luban Workshop exhibition hall. The Uzbek side highly appreciated the advanced facilities and expressed strong interest in future cooperation.

This memorandum marks an important step in promoting vocational education cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and expanding China’s vocational education presence in Central Asia and SCO countries.
