The Central Asia – European
Union Universities Congress, currently taking place in Samarkand, serves as an
important platform for further strengthening international cooperation among
higher education institutions. The delegation of Gulistan State University is
actively participating in this prestigious event.
In particular, the university’s Vice-Rector for International
Cooperation, Abdushokhit Pozilov, and the Dean of the Medical Faculty, Farhod
Shernazarov, are taking part in meetings and negotiations within the framework
of the congress.
During the congress, negotiations are being held to establish promising
partnerships with universities from European countries, including Poland, the
Czech Republic, and Slovakia. These collaborations are expected to contribute
to the development of academic exchange programs, joint educational projects,
and research activities.
On the first day of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed
with Professor Bogumila Kaniewska, Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University, one of
Poland’s leading higher education institutions. This document represents an
important step toward elevating bilateral cooperation to a new level.
Additionally, new agreements with several European universities are
planned for April 14. These efforts will further enhance the international
reputation of Gulistan State University, promote the implementation of modern
educational standards, and create new opportunities for students and faculty
members.
This congress plays a significant role in strengthening cooperation in education, science, and innovation between Central Asian countries and the European Union.
