The “5000 Steps for a Healthy Life!” walking marathon continues at Gulistan State University

Wednesday — Sports and Health Day!

Every Wednesday is widely celebrated as “Sports Day” in higher educational institutions across our country. In this regard, on May 20, 2026, another morning walking marathon under the slogan “5000 Steps for a Healthy Life!” was organized at Gulistan State University under the leadership of Rector M. Khodjiyev, with the participation of professors, teachers, and university staff members.

The event, which started early in the morning, provided participants with an opportunity to stay active in the fresh air, promote a healthy lifestyle, increase physical activity, and begin the day with positive energy.

Participants completed the designated 5000-step route, strengthening their physical fitness and overall well-being. In addition, health-improving physical exercises were conducted under the guidance of the university’s sports promoters and coaches. The next part of the event featured football and table tennis competitions, where team members tested their physical preparedness.
