“Lessons of Independence” Held

On September 7, 2026, “Lessons of Independence” were held at the Palace of Culture of Gulistan State University to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The event was organized under the slogan “Together as one Homeland and one people, let us create a new life and future!”

The event featured speeches by K. Kudratov, First Vice-Rector of Gulistan State University for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work; R. Mahmudov, Professor of the Department of Social Sciences; O. Erbo‘tayeva, Director of the Museum of Memory of Victims of Repression under the university; and Y. Hayitboyev, leader of the university’s Youth Union. They spoke about the historical significance of our country’s independence, the great achievements made during the years of independence, as well as the ongoing development processes in the country.

The speakers also emphasized the responsibility of the younger generation for the prosperity of the Motherland and the future of the country, the importance of acquiring modern knowledge and professional skills, engaging in scientific activities, and actively participating in the life of society.

During the “Lessons of Independence,” open dialogues were held with students and young people. Particular attention was paid to fostering loyalty to the Motherland, respect for national values, historical memory, and a strong sense of civic responsibility among the younger generation.
