On September 23, 2026, Uktam Rakhimovich Salomov, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, visited Gulistan State University.

During the visit, attention was focused on two important areas of university activity: thorough preparation for the autumn-winter season and support for innovative initiatives by young people.

First, the university’s readiness to ensure a stable and safe autumn-winter season was inspected. In particular, the boiler houses, energy supply system, engineering and utility networks, as well as the readiness of technical safety equipment were reviewed.

During discussions with the responsible staff, relevant recommendations were provided to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the systems, promptly address identified issues, and strictly comply with safety requirements.

Following this, promising startup projects developed by university students and young specialists were presented to the Deputy Minister as part of the “Fair of Scientific Achievements and Innovative Developments” and the “InnoWeek-2026” exhibition.

Uktam Salomov reviewed each project individually and discussed with the project authors their content, practical significance, innovative aspects, and prospects for further development.

The young people’s ideas were supported, and recommendations were provided on further improving the projects and implementing them in practice. The authors of the startup projects were also invited to participate in events held as part of “InnoWeek-2026” Week.
