We Say “No” to Violence!

An extended round-table discussion on violence prevention was held with students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Gulistan State University.

The event was attended by a prevention inspector of the KhKMB, the Chairperson of the Advisory Council on Women’s Affairs, the university psychologist, and faculty tutors.

During the discussion, students were provided with legal, psychological, and practical information about violence as a manifestation of aggressive behavior. It was explained that violence, unless it is a consequence of a particular illness, may be considered an offense or a crime.

The students were also informed that a person who commits violence is held legally accountable for their actions. Depending on the type of violence and the severity of the harm caused to the victim’s health, appropriate penalties may be imposed in accordance with the applicable legislation.
