On October 8, Gulistan State University hosted the opening of the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference entitled “Challenges and Solutions for the Integrated Development of Agriculture, Food and Light Industries.”

At the opening ceremony, the university rector, Doctor of Technical Sciences and Professor Muxsin Xodjiyev, delivered welcoming remarks. He highlighted the importance of developing agriculture, food production and light industry based on modern scientific achievements, finding research-based solutions to existing challenges, and improving the practical impact of scientific research.

The conference features presentations by Dilmurod Eshmurodov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, as well as renowned professors, lecturers, scientists and specialists from leading research institutes and higher education institutions across the country.

In particular, leading professors, academic staff and researchers from the following institutions have been invited to participate:

— Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

— Research Institute of Agricultural Mechanization;

— Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry;

— Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute;

— Fergana State University.

During the conference, specialists are sharing their research findings, professional experience and practical solutions across three key areas.

Agriculture: introducing modern technologies, improving production efficiency and advancing mechanization.

Food industry: ensuring product quality and safety, improving storage methods, expanding deep processing and applying innovative technologies.

Light and textile industries: promoting integrated sectoral development, introducing new technologies and improving resource-efficient production methods.

Throughout the conference, participants exchange views and experience, engage in scientific debates and discuss existing challenges in these sectors. Proposals and recommendations of practical significance for the national economy are being developed as a result.

The Republican Scientific and Practical Conference is currently continuing its work through specialized thematic sessions.
