1-goal. Total elimination of all forms of poverty worldwide.
The first goal of the Sustainable Development Goals is called "Eradicate all forms of poverty" (hereafter SDG 1). SDG 1 states have set targets to "end extreme poverty, reduce all forms of poverty and improve social life".
SDG 1 includes the following goals and objectives:
1.1. By 2030, eradicate extreme poverty.
1.2. By 2030, reduce by half the proportion of men, women and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions.
1.3. Strengthen the targeting and effectiveness of the social protection system of the population, enhance the quality of social services, achieve full coverage of social protection measures for all in need.
1.4. By 2030, ensure that all the population, in particular the poor and the vulnerable, have favourable economic and financial conditions for equal access to basic resources (land plots, bank loans and etc.), new technologies and financial services, including microfinance.
1.5. By 2030, build the resilience of socially vulnerable people and reduce their exposure and vulnerability to climate-induced extreme events and other economic, social and environmental shocks and disasters.
1.a. Ensure significant mobilisation of resources from a variety of sources, including through enhanced development cooperation, in order to provide adequate and predictable means to implement programmes and policies to end poverty in all its dimensions.
1.b. Develop and improve strategic development forecasting and monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, based on pro-poor and gender-sensitive development strategies, to support accelerated investment in poverty eradication actions.
