The news about the victory of Uzbek football players under 23 years old in Asia Championship in China was welcomed in Syrdarya region, especially, in GulDU with pride and excitement. More than 4 thousand students of the University watched the final match between Uzbek and Vietnamese teams with much curiosity.

On the 29^th of January, the meeting dedicated for the historical victory of our football players was held in GulDU. In the meeting, teachers, sportsmen and football fans admitted that this historical victory was the important step to rise the status of state football all over the world, furthermore, to popularize football in our country.
