On October 21, 2022, a spiritual, educational and artistic event dedicated to the "October 21-Uzbek language holiday" was held in the Palace of Culture of Gulistan State University. The event was opened by the rector of the university, Professor M. Khodzhiyev, with an introductory speech. Also, at the event, associate professor of Uzbek linguistics department, doctor of philology I. Ermatov spoke on the topic "Development of the Uzbek language and its acquisition of state status."

In the artistic part of the event, the creative students of the university performed songs and poems, performed stage performances and national dances.
