On April 16, 2022, Gulistan State University hosted a national scientific conference on "Actual issues of modern Uzbek literature" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Navoi scholar, associate professor Vahob Rakhmonov.

The event was attended by prominent representatives of Uzbek literature, scholars, Vavoi scholars, creators of modern Uzbek literature, colleagues and students of Vahob Rakhmonov.

Speakers at the conference spoke about the effective work of V.Rakhmonov in the study of Navoi's heritage, the current issues of modern literature.
