On November 17, a new innovative Information Resource Center designed for 600 seats was officially opened at Gulistan State University.

The opening ceremony of this educational center was attended by the Governor of Sirdarya Region E. Turdimov, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Q. Sharipov, the Minister of Sports A. Ikromov, the Rector of Gulistan State University M. Khodjiyev, the Rector of Gulistan State Pedagogical Institute J. Karshibayev, as well as representatives of the public.

Regional Governor E. Turdimov proposed organizing reading competitions and “Humorists and Smart Ones” contests in this center.

The Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Q. Sharipov gave instructions on enriching the library collection with new literature and improving the interior design and equipment for readers.

The new IRC supports students' research activities and independent learning. This center contributes to improving the quality of education and the intellectual environment, while the modern conditions created here further enhance young people's interest in knowledge.
