Our people, who know their ancestors well, carefully preserve the works, traditions, and values created in the fields of history, science, literature, and art handed down by our grandfathers and grandmothers, and always remember the past masters. At the root of this, there is no doubt, a great meaning, a deep essence of wisdom. It is known that representatives of the national renaissance movement, which arose in Turkestan at the beginning of the 20th century, worked to bring the people out of colonialism, social and cultural backwardness. Unfortunately, the ruling circles of that time carried out a repressive policy aimed at destroying the scientific and spiritual potential of our ancestors. They organized various slanders against them and sentenced them to death with labels such as "enemy of the people", "traitor of the country", "bourgeois nationalist". From 1860 to 1916, the museum presents those punished for participating in popular uprisings, victims of the struggle against Soviet power in 1917-1924, victims of political accusations and “eavesdropping” in 1925-1936, victims of the “Great Massacre” of 1937. -1938.-years, the years of the Second World War and those repressed in the period up to the 50s, research work is carried out in the chronological section of the “Cotton Affair” and “The Uzbek Affair”.
