According to the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated December 15, 2020, a phased implementation of a separate waste collection system is being introduced

1st stage — In 2021, in residential areas of Tashkent, waste collection points were categorized into "recyclable" and "non-recyclable" waste.

2nd stage — In 2022, in Tashkent, the collection of household waste divided into "recyclable" and "non-recyclable" categories began under the state unitary enterprise "Maxsustrans."

3rd stage — From 2024 to 2028, a phased implementation of a waste collection system by categories such as "recyclable," "non-recyclable," "organic," "hazardous household waste," and others will take place across the Republic.
