Within the framework of the cooperation memorandum between Gulistan State University and Balıkesir University (Turkey), the academic staff exchange program is being consistently implemented. According to this program, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature Teaching at Balıkesir University, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Birsel Oruç Aslan, has been delivering a 20-hour lecture course on “History of Language” for students of the Uzbek Linguistics Department of Gulistan State University starting from February 17.

Today, the Turkish guest was welcomed at the university by Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation D. Eshmurodov and Head of the International Relations Department A. Pozilov. During the meeting, issues such as publishing articles in Scopus-indexed journals, preparing joint monographs, and expanding research areas were discussed.

The parties also put forward concrete proposals and initiatives to further develop academic cooperation.
