On May 21-22, 2021, the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference "Prospects for the use of natural compounds in industry and agriculture" was held at the Department of Chemistry of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Gulistan State University. The conference was attended by specialists from foreign countries (Russia, Ukraine, Germany), scientists, researchers, doctoral students and masters, as well as young researchers from many higher educational institutions, research institutes and research centers in Uzbekistan. Speeches at the plenary session of the conference, including:

1. 2. "Development of sorption-spectroscopic methods for the determination of heavy metals using immobilized organic reagents" - Smanova Z.A. - NUUz, Head of Department of Analytical Chemistry, Doctor of Chemistry, Professor.
3. “Chuiko Institute of Surface Chemistry National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine” - Andriyko L.S. - she is a senior researcher at the Institute of Surface Chemistry. A. Chuiko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
4. "Prospects for the use of natural compounds in agriculture" Kushiev Kh.Kh. - "Head of the Laboratory of Experimental Biology" GulSU, Doctor of Biology, prof.
5. Forage adaptation of the European corn moth Ostrinia nubilalis Hbn Allaeva O.F. - Researcher at the University of Hohenheim, Germany (Stuttgart, Germany).
6. Professor of the Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute, Doctor of Chemistry, prof. Yaksheeva Z.Z. The reports on the topic "Integration and innovation of education in teaching natural sciences" caused a heated discussion and were recommended for publication in foreign publications, as they are important in addressing pressing issues of socio-economic development of the country.

At the conference:

Scientific substantiation of solving the problems of managing factors affecting the growth and development of plants and protecting the environment, as well as the problems of preparation, storage and processing of the pharmaceutical industry and agricultural products;

Popularization of scientifically grounded experiments on the integrated improvement of technologies for processing industrial waste and secondary resources based on natural compounds;

It is important to reduce the amount of imported chemicals based on the use of environmentally friendly natural compounds for plant growth and development and to plan the use of natural compounds that do not have a harmful effect on living organisms and the environment.

The conference offered recommendations based on the experience of leading domestic and foreign scientists on scientific and innovative activities aimed at the effective use of the available scientific and technical potential in solving pressing issues of the country's socio-economic development.

Recommendations are given based on effective technologies for the development of protective preparations based on natural chemical compounds to increase soil fertility, eliminate factors that negatively affect the growth and development of crops, and prevent harmful effects on the environment.
