February 9 is the auspicious date of the birth of Mir Alisher Navoi, the Sultan of the ghazal estate. Today, a spiritual and educational event dedicated to this date was held in the magnificent palace of culture of Gulistan State University. The event was organized by the rector of the University M.Khodzhiev opened with an introduction. Head of the Department of Uzbek Literary Studies in tadir, doctor of Science in philological Sciences (DsC), associate professor M.Mamatqulov spoke.

The speakers spoke in detail about the scientific heritage of our grandfather Navoi, the fact that he is the author of the only “Khamsa” written in the Turkic language, the work of Navoi in nazm and Nasr, as well as the work of Alisher Navoi as a statesman, in which he worked on creativity, prosperity, urban planning and the construction of a fair society.

In the artistic part of the event, artistic performances staged on the basis of works by Navoi from the students of the educational direction of Uzbek language and literature were presented, and samples of ghazals and ruboiyis belonging to the work of the great thinker were memorized.  Songs dedicated to Navoi ghazals were performed by the creators of the Faculty of art studies.
