5000 STEPS FOR A HEALTHY LIFE!

On March 18, early in the morning, Gulistan State University held a walking marathon under the slogan "5000 Steps for a Healthy Life!" with the participation of professors, teachers, and staff. The event aimed to widely promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage the university community to engage in mass sports.

📌 Why exactly 5000 steps?
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), overweight and obesity are becoming a global problem. The most effective way to prevent them is through physical activity and healthy eating! Walking at least 5000-10,000 steps daily helps prevent cardiovascular diseases, strengthens the immune system, and improves overall quality of life.

🏃‍♂️ Marathon participants not only engaged in sports but also received important recommendations on healthy eating, regular physical exercise, and stress management. Considering the positive results of the event, the university has now designated every Tuesday and Friday as "5000 Steps for a Healthy Life!" day.
