Within the framework of a memorandum aimed at developing international cooperation with Balıkesir universiteti, Professor Serkan Sari from the Department of History paid an official visit to Gulistan State University.

During the visit, meaningful meetings were organized with faculty members of the Department of History and students majoring in history. In discussions with academic staff, the parties exchanged views on historical research in Turkey, modern approaches, and publications in prestigious academic journals.

Professor Serkan Sari also provided information about an upcoming international symposium planned in Turkey and emphasized the importance of participation by the department’s faculty members. As part of the visit, he held an open discussion with first-year history students, where insightful and academically grounded opinions were shared on historical ties between Uzbekistan and Turkey, cultural closeness, and prospects for cooperation.
