Following the negotiations, an agreement on the phased establishment of “Lu Ban” workshops at Gulistan State University was signed with the participation of Muxsin Xodjiyev, Rector of Gulistan State University, and Li Yunmei, Secretary of the Communist Party of China Committee.
“Lu Ban” workshops bring together modern professions, advanced technologies, and hands-on learning!
The workshops will help students strengthen their theoretical knowledge through practical skills, gain insights into international experience, and acquire professions that are in high demand in the labour market.
Initially, the workshops are planned to cover the following fields: renewable energy sources, artificial intelligence, textiles, and garment manufacturing.
The cooperation will extend beyond the educational process. Together with Chinese entrepreneurs, the parties also discussed introducing dual education at enterprises in Uzbekistan, organising industrial placements for students, and supporting their future employment.
Furthermore, agreements were reached to expand opportunities for students to develop modern professional competencies, receive training based on international experience, and obtain relevant certificates.
The main goal is to train knowledgeable specialists who are proficient in modern technologies and competitive in the international labour market.
The establishment of “Lu Ban” workshops at Gulistan State University will be an important step towards integrating education, industry, and international cooperation, preparing students for the professions of the future, and strengthening the university’s innovation capacity.
