On June 1, 2018, the University hosted the theme "We are against religious extremism and terrorism" with law-enforcement officials of Syrdarya Region and university professors and students.

At the beginning of the meeting, a film titled "Requirement of Thoughts" was shown.

Speakers at the meeting noted and some of citizens, especially young people, are trapped in the trap of religious extremist and terrorist influences, who are against their parents, family, children, relatives, homeland that he was raising a weapon, eventually becoming a fugitive, and then dying becoming dishonored.

 They emphasized that we all are greatiful to live in today's peaceful, placid and prosperous Uzbekistan, to be happy about the happiness of our children, economic changes in our country and we should use the conditions and opportunities created for the people properly.

 The meeting was attended by pro-rector on spiritual and educational affairs R.Mahmudov, deputy head of the department of internal affairs of Gulistan M.Rasulov, senior lieutenant Sh.Azizkhonov, representative of the Syrdarya Regional Anti-Terrorism Department, Sirdarya region specialist of secretariat of public relations and religious organizations S.Bobojonov, preventive inspector of CPC of Gulistan city of Tashkent A.Usmanov, lawyer of the Syrdarya regional council Sh.Khudoyorov, professor-teachers and 532 students.
