Department of Organization and Development of Distance Education

The Department of Organization and Development of Distance Education was established based on the Decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 5, 2020, No. PF-6079 “On approval of the strategy ‘Digital Uzbekistan – 2030’ and measures for its effective implementation” and January 28, 2022, No. PF-60 “On the Development Strategy of the New Uzbekistan for 2022–2026”.

The Department of Organization and Development of Distance Education is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the process of distance learning in relevant educational fields using distance learning technologies, as well as organizing the creation of educational content and implementing it into the distance learning process.

Starting from the 2025–2026 academic year, student admission for the distance learning format is carried out in the following fields:

• 60220300 – History
• 60920100 – Social Work
• 60410100 – Economics
• 60410800 – Management
• 60410200 – Accounting

Main tasks of the Department of Organization and Development of Distance Education

1. Planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the educational process in the distance learning system;
2. Formation and development of a unified information and educational environment for distance learning;
3. Organization of the creation of educational content (audio, video, and graphic) for distance learning and its implementation into the educational process;
4. Creation and maintenance of a unified interface for student registration in the distance learning system (mt.guldu.uz);
5. Registration of professors and teaching staff in the distance learning system (mt.guldu.uz) and training them to use the system;
6. Preparation of reporting data on the number of students studying through distance education;
7. Organization of intermediate and final assessment of students studying in the distance education system and analysis of the results;
8. Participation in preparing draft orders for promoting distance learning students from one academic year to another;
9. Implementation of distance learning technologies in other educational institutions on a contractual basis, development of technical documentation, creation of software, and participation in its maintenance;
10. Participation in international cooperation in the field of electronic and distance education;
11. Ensuring the operation of the distance education platform.

Theoretical and practical classes are conducted on the Zoom platform according to the schedule of contact hours with students. Links to Zoom classes are provided to students through their logins and passwords according to their assigned groups.

In order to create additional convenience for students studying in the distance learning format, in agreement with higher education institutions, information resource centers, and educational centers operating in the regions where students live, they are provided with the opportunity to use their information and communication infrastructure.
