On August 30, the opening ceremony of the new building of the medical faculty was held at the Gulistan State University. The event was attended by the rector of Gulistan state university professor M.Xodjiev, the head of the Health Department of the Syrdarya region R. Yuldashev, the dean of the faculty, candidate of medical sciences F.Shernazarov and the medical staff.

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 12.11.2020 "On measures to introduce fundamentally new mechanisms in the activities of primary health care institutions and further increase the effectiveness of reforms in the health care system" taking into account existing needs.

Since the 2021/2020 academic year, 50 places have been allocated to the medical faculty of the university according to the parameters of state admission in two areas: general medicine and pediatrics.
