December 8 is the day of adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A festive event dedicated to this date was held today in the magnificent Palace of Culture of Gulistan State University. The event was opened by the rector of the university, M. Khodzhiyev, with an introductory speech. In his speech, M. Khodzhiyev gave detailed information about the history of adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, important information related to this important encyclopedic document, updates and changes in the Constitution. After that, the National Anthem was played and the main part of the event started.

   Congratulatory speech was given to the deputy prosecutor of Syrdarya region R. Quranboy. In his speech, R. Quranboey sincerely congratulated the team on the holiday, called on the students and young people to use their constitutional rights effectively, and expressed an opinion on the need to study tirelessly in order to become worthy personnel for New Uzbekistan.

   During the event, an awarding ceremony was held for the winners and prize-winners of the sports and intellectual competitions held among the students of the higher educational institutions of the region, organized by the initiative of the Prosecutor's Office of the Syrdarya region, dedicated to the date of December 8. The winners and prize-winners of football, girls' volleyball, chess, intellectual intellectual game and fine arts were awarded with medals and souvenirs, and the honorary 1st place winners were awarded with the regional prosecutor's cup.

During the event, university professor R. Mahmudov gave a speech and spoke in detail about the content and essence of our General Dictionary, its study and promotion.

   In the artistic part of the event, festive songs were performed by artists of the Faculty of Arts.
