Cooperation with Hong Kong: new international opportunities and перспективные plans

The Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Gulistan State University, D. Eshmurodov, held an official meeting at The University of Hong Kong during his official visit to the People’s Republic of China.

The meeting was attended by Winnie Chen, Deputy Director of Summer School Programs, and Iris Ip, Program Manager for International Relations from the host university.

During the negotiations, the parties thoroughly discussed issues related to expanding cooperation between the two higher education institutions in the fields of education, science, and innovation. The sides reached concrete agreements on elevating mutually beneficial cooperation to a new level and expanding international opportunities for students and faculty members.

In particular, the following priority areas of cooperation were agreed upon:

  • ensuring regular participation of Gulistan State University students in summer school programs organized in Hong Kong;
  • organizing master classes, seminars, and training sessions to facilitate experience exchange among faculty members;
  • establishing active bilateral participation in international scientific and practical conferences, symposiums, and forums.

This meeting marked an important step toward strengthening academic cooperation between the two universities, improving the quality of education, and enhancing scientific potential. The agreements will also expand students’ opportunities to study in a global educational environment and further develop international scientific collaboration among faculty members.

According to experts, such cooperation plays a significant role not only for the two universities but also in strengthening educational and scientific ties between Uzbekistan and Hong Kong.
